What is Solitaire Cash?

Solitaire Cash App Review Header

Solitaire Cash is a mobile app that claims that you can earn money just by playing games of solitaire. It has been heavily advertised in other mobile apps with visuals showing users earning hundreds of dollars.

The game itself is an incredibly basic form of solitaire. You play against others and can win in-game gems (or cash) if you win.

But what is the reality? And what is the catch with Solitaire Cash? Read on to find out all.

Is Solitaire Cash Legit, Safe and Real?

You’ve probably found yourself wondering if Solitaire Cash is legit, safe, and real or if it is a fake app, or even worse, a scam. The answer is a little complicated.

Sadly, Solitaire Cash is not a legit or real way to make some extra cash. But that is not to say that it is a scam. It advertises itself as a way to make free money but the reality is that it is a gambling app. It is a mini-casino in disguise.

To be in with a chance of winning cash you will need to deposit cash. And there is no guarantee that you will win of course. Most people will lose cash in this app. That’s how casinos work – the house always wins as they say.

Let me be clear, this is not a legit earning opportunity, but it is a legit gambling app.

Caution: If you deposit real cash into Solitaire Cash you moving away from earning money online and are GAMBLING. It is the same as walking into a casino and playing slots. We suggest instead taking a look at earning opportunities where you are actually able to earn by playing games without spending.

Is the Solitaire Cash App Advert Real?

The reason you’re reading this review is that you’ve likely seen one of the Solitaire Cash ads. You want to know if these ads are real.

The short answer is no, they are absolutely not real.

They show people playing a game of solitaire and earning several dollars for every move they make in the game. This is not how it works at all (more on this below).

Solitaire Cash Is the Ad Real
Solitaire Cash does not work in the way shown in the ads.

They also show people withdrawing hundreds of dollars. Again this is unlikely unless you deposit a boatload of cash, get lucky, and win in this casino-style gaming app.

The Solitaire Cash app ad seems too good to be true, and that’s because it is. Let’s look at the reality of how it actually works:

Opportunity

  • Hundreds of ways to earn with mobile games.
  • Free daily cash.
  • Earn with surveys.
  • Millions of members.

How Does Solitaire Cash Work?

You would be forgiven to think that Solitaire Cash works by simply playing free games of Solitaire Cash and earning free money. That is how they advertise it after all. This is not how it works. At all.

Understanding Gems vs Cash

Before we dig into how the app works, let’s look at the currency. This is very important. Solitaire Cash has the concept of gems (no monetary value) and cash.

Solitaire Cash Review Gems vs Cash

When you register you get a tiny amount of real cash on your account, but of course not enough to withdraw.

Cash

As above, you get a tiny amount of free cash when you register. This is not enough money to withdraw so you must use it on a game of solitaire. Because of the tiny amount, the winning potential is also tiny. You may win a game but almost certainly will bust out before you get anywhere near the withdrawal limit of $5.

To get more cash, you must either deposit your own real cash (a big no-no when trying to earn money online). And at that point, you are entering the reality of Solitaire Cash – it is a mini casino.

Gems

When you lose the initial free cash, you are relegated to playing for gems, the free in-game currency that cannot be withdrawn.

Gems can be used to play games of Solitaire where the winnings are also gems.

If you manage to win enough gems you can play a game for a crazy amount of gems to potentially win a cash prize. We’ll discuss below why this is an ineffective way to earn.

Playing Solitaire Cash to Earn... Cash

Because we absolutely do not in any way suggest that you deposit real cash into this game, we will be focussing on the free-to-play element, and just how unlikely it is that you will earn enough to withdraw.

If you deposit cash, you have moved from earning money online to gambling and most likely, losing money online. DO NOT DO THIS.

The games themselves are vanilla, basic solitaire with no bells and whistles:

Solitaire Cash Game Board
Solitaire Cash features a single game. Basic solitaire.

You play games by entering tournaments with others. There is an entry fee of gems or cash, and winnings in gems or cash.

Gem Tournaments

So, let’s look at the viability of earning real cash without depositing real cash. You will be playing with the in-game currency of gems. Gems must be spent to enter a game of Solitaire in Solitaire Cash. If you win, you earn more gems. Simple.

Solitaire Cash Gem Games

You may think that this is a 20 gem entry, with a 110 gem win. Nope. Read it again. It is a 110 gem prize pool. So, if you come first (which is actually very difficult), you will actually only earn 60 gems:

Solitaire Cash gem winnings

So, minus your entry fee, you’re only earning 40 gems if you win.

But we’ve already said that gems have no real-world value. So how does this convert to cash?

How to Convert Gems to Cash

So we’ve looked at gem games, that you can win more gems from. But how do we get to the point of winning cash without depositing cash? The answer is with great difficulty and a lot of hours grinding. It is for all intents and purposes incredibly unlikely.

There is only one way to step up from earning gems from tournaments to winning cash from tournaments. And that is to first win 1,200 gems. And remember that we only win a max of 40 gems per game if we come in 1st place.

We’re pretty good at Solitaire and it took us around 5 hours. Yes, you read that right, 5 hours to amass 1,200 gems. This allowed us to play a single game where we had the potential to win some cash:

Solitaire Cash Earn Cash With Gems

Remember that the withdrawal minimum is $5. Even if we win we won’t have enough to withdraw anything. And not at the top that the max you can win (in our country) was £3.10 Bonus Cash. Uh oh, that sounds a little suspicious. What does it mean:

Solitiare Cash Bonus Cash
Bonus cash cannot be withdrawn.

Ah, we’re not even winning withdrawable cash. So if at this point you do happen to come first, you win £3.10 of cash to use in tournaments.

Now you have to play one of the cash tournaments, which with our bonus cash we may be able to play around 4 games. In order to get enough cash to withdraw we would need to come in first in 2-3 of these 4 games.

Solitaire Cash Spending Bonus Cash

You may get lucky and do so, but by the time you have, you will have spent, I estimate around 6-8 hours to earn £5 (or your country equivalent). And the likelihood of you achieving this is TINY.

Can You Win Real Money With Solitaire Cash?

As we’ve discussed, the chances of winning real money with Solitaire Cash is so small that it is effectively not possible. Let’s look at why:

  • 1,200 gems must be earned to play a cash game. This takes around 6 hours.
  • You will win bonus cash that cannot be withdrawn. To convert this into real cash you will need to win several games without losing (incredibly unlikely).
  • The odds of winning are stacked against you.
  • When you earn $5.00, which is the minimum cashout, you will be charged $1.00 or the withdrawal.
  • So, for 6-8 hours of work, if you are extremely lucky you will step away with $4.
  • To do this again, you’d have to start the process all over again with no guarantee of winning anything at all.

Let me be blunt, Solitaire Cash is a basic online casino that tries to push you into depositing real money. If you do so, you are no longer earning money online, but gambling. As with any form of gambling, you are very likely to end up losing your money. This is especially true of Solitaire Cash.

What is the Catch With Solitaire Cash?

The catch with Solitaire Cash is that it is not a way to earn free cash, but is a gambling app. The deceptive marketing and ads frame it as a way to make free cash just by playing Solitaire. As per our analysis above, the likelihood of earning even $4 with zero spend will take upwards of 6 hours, after which you are more than likely to bust out and earn NOTHING.

The reality is that Solitaire Cash is a casino/gambling app that disguises itself as an opportunity to earn money.

If you deposit money, you are now gambling. There is no other way about it.

The catch is that you are entering a digital casino, perhaps without even realising it.

How to Get Paid by Solitaire Cash?

If by some miracle you manage to get up to $5.00 in cash in Solitaire Cash (and remember, it cannot be bonus cash), then you are able to withdraw via PayPal.

The final kick in the teeth is that Solitaire Cash actually charges a $1.00 withdrawal fee. This is an incredibly unfair penalty get your cash into your account.

Solitaire Cash Review Summary: Pros & Cons

Pros

  • None.

Cons

  • A gambling app disguised as an earning opportunity.
  • Deceptive ads.
  • $1.00 withdrawal fee.

It really is quite astonishing to see the positive view of Solitaire Cash online, especially now we have completed our review and analysis.

I want to make one thing very clear – Solitaire Cash is a gambling app. A real money gambling app. It is not an opportunity to earn online. It is more similar to walking into a casino and playing slots.

Their ads are deceptive as they paint a picture of free cash for playing solitaire, but in reality, without depositing your own cash, this is so unlikely that you may as well forget it.

The ads also show people earning $10, $20, etc. just by making a single move in a game of solitaire. Again, this is absolute fiction.

There are so many catches in Solitaire Cash that we’ve addressed above but the takeaway should be this:

If you’re free to play your chances of earning are effectively zero. If you grind for 8 hours you may be able to withdraw $4 if you are insanely lucky. Most people won’t earn a cent from this game.
