Surveyworld Review

Surveyworld is a survey aggregator site that links you through to many other survey sites. This in itself isn’t unusual and may sound like a typical GPT site but nothing could be further from the truth.

The truth is that Surveyworld operates as an odd middleman that as far as I can see adds no value whatsoever. But it is even more strange than that as it actually makes it more difficult than just signing up with survey sites directly.

Read on to learn more about the peculiarities of the strangest survey site in the world.

What you need to know

  • Time: It takes a long time to even get to the point of joining. After that, surveys are dependant on the site you’re referred to.
  • Earnings: Variable and depend on the number of surveys you do on the sites it refers you to. But typical rates of between $0.05 and $0.50 apply.
  • Trust: No trust issues, but operates in an odd middleman role.
  • Payout Options: Whatever the survey site(s) it refers you to offers.
  • Country Availability: USA flag Canada flag United Kingdom flag European Union Flag Australia flag India Flag Japan Flag (Global)

What is Surveyworld?

Surveyworld is a very peculiar survey site, mostly because it isn’t a survey site at all. It operates in a weird middleman role where it passes you through to other survey sites that it is currently promoting. But this doesn’t work as a GPT site, as none of your earnings will reach Surveyworld, they all stay on the survey site(s) that you’re referred to.

To clear any confusion, the site we are talking about is surveyworld.me, because there are other similarly named sites out there.

Before we get into the review, we’re going to have to walk you through the crazy steps you need to take to sign up to and login to Surveyworld. Even if you have no intention of signing up, we recommend that you read through as Surveyworld has a truly fascinatingly weird setup.

How to Sign Up For Surveyworld?

The first thing you’ll notice when you head over to Surveyworld is that there is no signup button, or form and no way to log in. They explain that it costs nothing to join (a strange point to make as all survey sites are free), but nowhere on the entire site does it explain how to join.

So how do you do it? How do you join this mysterious site?

They don’t tell you, but you have to go to their Facebook page and send them a private message. Seriously. They’ll ask you which country you’re from and then send you a link to an unpaid mini-survey.

Surveyworld Sign up Form

Once they give you the sign-up link via Facebook messenger (I still can’t wrap my head around this), you will see something like the following when you visit it:

surveyworld sign up form survey
We’re not ever sure what Surveyworld’s purpose for adding such random questions to the signup process is.

So you’ll answer some meaningless questions that aren’t even tied to an account (because you never actually create an account with Surveyworld). Underneath this mini-survey, it will finally tell you that Surveyworld isn’t a survey site and that they simply pass you through to other survey sites to register.

Once you finish your bizarre mini-survey you’ll be given a link to join another site. That’s right, not a link to join Surveyworld, but a link to join an actual survey site. In our case, this was OpinionWorld:

surveyworld opinionworld signup form
The Surveyworld signup just forwards you to other survey sites.

To finish off this farce, when we clicked “Join here”, we were taken to OpinionWorld’s Dutch language site’s 404 page not found error page. One silver lining to this is that because Surveyworld.me is redirecting us to only legitimate survey sites, that backs up the idea that it, in itself a legit, although useless site.

Wow. I’d pay anyone good money if they can explain to me why anyone would go through all of this trouble when they could have just gone directly to the survey site themselves and signed up…

Who Can Join Surveyworld

Technically anyone can “join” Surveyworld if they pass the gauntlet we’ve described above. Well, as we explained you’ll join a site they refer you to. But it seems as though they have no real limitations on who they give their survey site sign-up links to. In fact, they claim to be available in 70+ countries.

surveyworld who can join stats
Surveyworld states that it is available in 70+ countries.

What stands out more than the country availability is that they claim to have 5,000,000 users. Let that sink in. Do you think that 5 million people went through the convoluted sign up process above? I think not. The further I progress through the Surveyworld review, the more I think that the site must be some sort of elaborate joke.

Can You Use Surveyworld to Make Money?

You cannot make any money from Surveyworld directly, but you can actually make money from the sites that they forward you on to. You will be passed over to legitimate sites to sign up and from there you can earn money by taking surveys, doing some product testing, etc.

The real question is why bother? Surveyworld, aka Surveyworld.me does not allow you to make money on the site. Think of it as more of a landing page with very well-hidden links to other survey sites.

There is no opportunity to earn here. While there is nothing wrong with a site that suggests which survey sites to use (we recommend survey sites too, remember!), the convoluted and almost deceptive way that they do this doesn’t sit right with me.

If you need any more proof, head over to their Facebook page. They admittedly have a crazy number of followers, but they never mention surveys on their page. Strange for a survey site, right? Well, they seem to be happier posting about obscure “days” such as National Penguin Day (I wish I was joking).

Summary: Surveyworld disguises itself as a survey site but in reality, it just links you through to other sites after considerable effort on your part. And it doesn’t even do that very well.

Surveyworld Review Summary: Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Unfortunately, none.

Cons

  • Unnecessarily difficult to sign up or sign in.
  • Acts as a pointless middleman.
  • You don't actually earn anything on Surveyworld.

There are no redeeming qualities about the site. It doesn’t fulfill any need, doesn’t make your life easier, and doesn’t offer anything beneficial at all. It simply adds confusion and extra steps before signing up for other survey sites. This is without a doubt one of the most confusing “survey” sites that I’ve ever reviewed.

Do yourself a favour and just choose any survey site other than this one.

Is Surveyworld Legit?

Surveyworld is actually legit and completely safe to use. The problem is that it is a waste of time and adds unnecessary steps before joining up with other survey sites. It’s weird, it’s convoluted, it’s pointless and it’s a waste of time but Surveyworld is not a scam. But to be honest I don’t know what it is. They clearly earn referral earnings from passing people through to other sites, but why do they make it so hard for people to find these registration links?

But confusions aside, there’s nothing dangerous here. Surveyworld is legit, safe, and not a scam in any way.

Final Thoughts

Surveyworld exists for one reason only, and that is to generate affiliate or referral income for its owners. This in itself isn’t unusual but the fact that it offers absolutely no value in exchange is quite strange. What’s more, making it so hard for people to actually access their affiliate or referral links confuses the situation even further.

As a survey site, well Surveyworld simply isn’t one. As a site that refers you to other survey sites, it does so incredibly poorly. It makes you put in more effort than is necessary to register for survey sites that you could go to directly.

As mentioned, this is the single most confusing survey site that we’ve ever reviewed here on Earnologist.

To sum it up in a word, this site is the definition of middleman. Cut it out and you’ll be much more profitable and productive.
