ClickASnap provides you with a very unique way to make money from your photos. It actually pays you every time someone views one of your snaps.
In addition, they also allow you to open a shop where you can sell digital copies of your photos. And you can even sell products such as prints, and other print-on-demand items featuring your photos.
But is it as good as it seems?

ClickASnap allows you to earn money from the photos you take but interestingly does so in a way we’ve never seen before. Sure, they allow you to sell digital copies of your photos and even have a print-on-demand set-up where you can sell products such as canvases and even clothes with your print on them. This is what you’d expect but they offer something else on top of that.
What really sets ClickASnap apart is that they pay you every time someone views one of the photos you’ve uploaded. This means you don’t have to rely on people putting their hands in their pockets for you to get paid. Pay-per-view photos are a very interesting concept, but does it work in practice?
So now we know what ClickASnap is, let’s jump in and take a look at it in more detail.
Is ClickASnap Legit or a Scam?
ClickASnap.com is a legit site for photographers to monetize the photos that they’ve taken. ClickASnap has been in operation for around 5 years and has actually increased how much they pay out per photo view over the years.
We have not found anything to indicate that there is anything wrong with the site or anything to be concerned about. ClickASnap is a legitimate way to make money online and a unique one at that.
ClickASnap: How Does it Work?
With this being such a unique way to earn money from taking and uploading photos, we need to look at how ClickASnap works. And just as importantly, how to make money on ClickASnap.
The process of taking a photo is as complicated or as easy as you want to make it and uploading the photo is a breeze. However, due to the pay-to-view model, there are a lot of complexities that open up some very interesting methods of earning more money with ClickASnap.
Let’s look at how it works and how to maximize what you earn:
1. Signing Up
There’s not a whole lot to say here, the sign-up process is very straightforward. You can sign up with your email, or more quickly with Google, Twitter, or Facebook logins. There doesn’t actually seem to be an email confirmation step so once you’re registered, you’re good to go.
We suggest that straight after registering that you fill in your profile with a name (can be a pseudonym), profile picture, header image, and a short bio. This is very important because it adds legitimacy to your account and encourages people to stay on your account and photos for longer. This in turn is crucial and we’ll get onto why in just a moment.
2. Get Paid Per Photo View
The first way to earn money with ClickASnap, is as we mentioned via the concept of being paid every time someone views your photo. You may think that all you’ll need to do is just upload a photo and that is it. You’d be wrong. The process of uploading is easy but getting the views, or more specifically getting the views to count takes a little bit of thinking.
Understanding How Much ClickASnap Pays for Views
Before you jump in and start uploading, it’s important to understand the earning potential with ClickASnap. While ClickASnap is free, on that free membership you will earn the lowest amount per photo view. You’ll also be limited to 20 photo uploads a day.
As you can see, paying £3 a month means that you’re earnings per photo increase x7. What I would suggest is to initially go for the free option. Then if your monthly photo views increase to the point where it can cover the Upload+ subscription, and earn more than you would on Free, then upgrade.
This can get complicated because the views are in USD cents, and the subscription costs are in GBP. I truly have no idea why they do this.
To visualize – let’s say you hit 2,000 views which on Upload+ would earn you $14 (2000*0.7¢), minus the cost of Upload+ (£3 = ~$3.88), making around $10 profit. But if you had only 500 views, you’d only make $3.50, minus the $3.88 and you’d be losing money! So calculate this properly before upgrading.
Views Must be 5 Seconds or Longer
ClickASnap only considers a photo view as valid if the user has viewed it for 5 seconds or longer. This is an incredibly important point. Don’t worry though because there are things we can do to ensure that we get that 5 seconds of attention, and the payout from the view. Let’s look at how to do exactly that.
Capture Attention to Get 5 Second Views
5 seconds really isn’t that much time. But how do you make sure people view your photo for this amount of time? Make them read. It’s simple but it works. Many people upload their photos with a title and nothing more. Make use of the description and max out the character count if you can. People’s eyes are drawn to text, and that’s what the description text will do. It will hold their attention just long enough to get the view:

Then of course, you have the other option of uploading provocative photos. If you take a look at the main feed on ClickASnap, you can see that photos of scantily clad women all typically have high view counts. Sad but true!
Market and Promote Your Photos
To really boost your earnings, you’ll need to promote your photos or rather links to your photos. When posting on social media, drop in a link with a thumbnail and catchy name to encourage people to click and view your photo. If you already have your own photography website, portfolio, or following, you can leverage this to link through and earn per photo view.
3. Sell Digital Copies of Your Photos
As we noted, it’s not all about views at ClickASnap. You can also sell digital copies of your photos. What’s even better is that ClickASnap doesn’t even take a cut, they just take the payment processing fees out of the sale. This is a great way to sell digital copies of an image for free, without the complexities of setting up a store.
4. Sell Print-on-Demand Products
Similarly, you can slap your photos on just about any product and sell them via a print-on-demand model. What’s nice here is that ClickASnap doesn’t take any cut of your profits – they just take the cash to cover the payment transaction fee and the physical item/printing process costs.
Again, a really easy and quick way to spin up an online store and start selling your photographs on loads of different items instantly.

Who Can Join ClickASnap?
Despite being a UK-based company with prices in GBP, ClickASnap is actually available globally. So, there are no restrictions on your location. All you need is the ability to take photographs and upload photographs!
How to Get Paid by ClickASnap
ClickASnap only offers one payment method, which is PayPal. I don’t mind personally when the only payment method is PayPal because it’s free, quick, and probably the most straightforward option excluding direct-to-bank payments.
The minimum payout is $15 – again I’m unsure why they keep switching between USD and GBP but that is how it’s set up. Once payment is requested, they promise, and actually guarantee that the payment will be made within 24 hours.
But what about ClickASnap earnings? What are you typically able to earn?
How Much Does ClickASnap Pay?
As we showed above, the amount that ClickASnap pays per view depends on your membership level. Anything above the free tier can be thought of as having a ClickASnap fee. We’ve brought all of that info into a single ClickASnap payment table below:

The important thing to understand here is that the pay-per-view is in cents. So when they say 0.7¢ they don’t mean 7 cents, they mean 0.7 of a cent, so you’d need ten views to earn 7 cents, not one.
And then remember, you can also open up your own store where you select your own prices. So in that respect, ClickASnap will pay whatever price you set your products as (minus POD costs).
ClickASnap Payment Proof
It’s all well and good talking about what you can earn but let’s look at some actual ClickASnap payment proof. Now, rather than looking at our own initial attempts, I thought it made sense to look at payment proof from someone who is a photographer and has been using ClickASnap for some time now.

Is There a ClickASnap App?
As much as I think ClickASnap is a brilliant idea, disappointingly (and astonishingly), they don’t have an app. This is a massive wasted opportunity as it would be so much easier to upload images direct from your phone. Let’s face it, while professional photographers will use DSLR cameras, a lot of people testing the waters will just upload images from their phones.
Hopefully, a ClickASnap app will be created soon as it would be a huge quality-of-life enhancement for uploaders.

I love new and novel ways to earn money and ClickASnap provides exactly that. This is the first time we’ve seen a legitimate paid-for photo views opportunity and we’re very excited about it.
The benefit of not having to rely on people actually purchasing your photos, but simply viewing them is a really cool concept. However, you do need to be aware that the pay-per-view is low. You will only be paid 0.1¢ – 0.9¢ per view. That is not to be confused with $0.01 or $0.09 by the way, because it actually works out as $0.001 and $0.009, meaning you’d need 10 views per cent in the free tier, or just over 1 view for 1 cent in the paid tiers.
This is offset by the low payout threshold of $15 though.
But, we’re of the opinion that being paid anything for a photo view is actually pretty incredible. You just need to direct people to your photos via links on websites, social media, or even them finding your photo through Google search.
What’s more, is that ClickASnap actually hides an entire print-on-demand store where you can set your own prices without them even taking a cut. You can earn money on digital downloads or even sell your prints on physical products like canvases and t-shirts.
Overall we love this concept and while it isn’t going to make most of us rich, it is such a clever way to squeeze some extra cash out of those photos you have clogging up your phone or PC! Monetize your photos in probably the easiest way possible.
Is ClickASnap Worth It?
While the pay-per-view amount for photos is low, we believe that ClickASnap is worth your time. You won’t get the same pay-per-view opportunities elsewhere and once you’ve uploaded them it becomes completely passive income.
That added to the fact that you can start your own POD store with your photos means that ClickASnap is absolutely worth checking out.

ClickASnap makes money on all subscriptions above the free tier, meaning they are member funded. For their print-on-demand stores, they explain that they don’t take a cut and as of writing the site does not feature ads for ad revenue.
Final Thoughts
Whether you’re a photographer or just someone that enjoys snapping photos, there is money to be made with ClickASnap. It is an incredibly unique way to monetize your photos and once uploaded you’ve got a permanent source of passive income.
Don’t snooze on their Print-on-Demand sales either. We especially like the ability to sell digital downloads of photos too – again something that will be of great value to photographers who don’t want to set up their own store.
