Is It Possible To Get to Level 20 in Mergeland-Alice's Adventure?
Yes, it is possible but it will be an extreme grind. You will need to play daily for an entire month. Personally, we believe that while it is possible to get to level 20 that it is not worth the time investment. We suggest aiming for level 18 and stopping there, or if you want to continue just play casually in the hope that you’ll make it.
Either way, there are more profitable ways to spend your time.

The Basics
The game appears easy but you can dig yourself into a hole if you don’t approach it correctly. You need to start as you mean to go on. There are certain tips and tricks that you can use to progress faster, some features to avoid, and some that are absolutely crucial.
The tips below will actually apply to levels 5, 10, 15, 18 and 20. You will not need to change up your strategy, but of course, each level will take increasingly more time to complete.

NEVER Merge 3
This is a funny one, even though it is a merge 3 game, you shouldn’t actually merge only 3. What you can do is grab three identical objects and drag them together to create another single item that is a “rank” above.
If however, you merge 5 (which you always should), you will get 2 of that next rank item.
This may not seem like much but believe me, when you’re merging items up through 10 ranks, once you get far enough it can be the difference of saving you literal hours of game time.
Always merge 5!
Make Use of the Energy Shop
In Mergeland-Alice’s Adventure you need energy to “build” higher rank items that are a result of a merge. You’ll also need energy to harvest items that will then form part of your merges. Energy regenerates over time but very slowly.
That’s where the Energy shop comes in.
Make sure that you claim the energy lotto that can give you 100+ energy, and watch ads on the same page to top up by 30 energy each time. We suggest only buying energy with coins when you’re desperate, but bear in mind coins have other very important uses to speed things up for you.
Events
There are two types of events in Mergeland-Alice’s Adventure. The first are events occurring on the main map. That is the area where you’re doing your merges. You can completely 100% ignore any events on this main map.
The reason is that it saps your energy and the rewards are really pretty minor. And, what you’ll find as you progress through the levels, it will lead to an already insanely full main game board becoming unmanageable.
The second type of events happen in different areas. They have their own energy and can give decent rewards back to your main game board. Don’t dwell on these, but blast through what you can quickly, grab the rewards and then leave them be.
Food and Keys
Firstly, the idea of keys is that you use them to unlock new areas. You need to do this to progress. The main way to get keys is by fulfilling orders from the characters you’ve unlocked. They’ll request that you create certain foods or potions. To do this you need to harvest apples, wheat, etc. from special merged items.
The three key points here are firstly, always make sure your characters are busy making food and producing keys. Secondly, make sure you only ever merge 5 keys, using the merge 5 concept above! Thirdly, if you run out of food, use the shop in the bottom right corner to buy food with your in-game coins.
But note: Do not spend all of your coins on the shop. You will absolutely also need them to buy extra energy from the Energy shop. You’ll also need to save some for stars, which we’ll get onto next.
Hoard Stars
Now, onto the next game element, stars. Stars are like any other object in that you need to merge them multiple times. When your star reaches the max level though, it can stand in as a match for any item to merge. This makes them very important as if you’re working on a rank 8 item for example, it will remove the need to grind another item through all of the phases. They save you tons of time.
The match 5 rule applies again here. You absolutely want to be matching 5 stars at every stage to get double the rewards.
You will also see yellow flies/butterflies frequently flying over your screen. Among them will be a purple one holding a TV screen. If you click this you can watch an ad and get to select your prize. Always, always, always choose stars.
Mergeland-Alice's Adventure Redeem Codes
I’ve never seen this in a match 3 game before but you can redeem codes for in-game goodies from the Mergeland-Alice’s Adventure Facebook page. Check back daily for new codes and remember, the first time you visit you should be able to go back several days to snag extra codes.
Make a $3.99-$14.99 purchase to unlock a new area/garden
We don’t normally suggest that you go for in-app purchases for offers but this one is a bit of a no-brainer. The earnings mean you break even with what you pay. In fact, if you’re in the UK you actually make a little money on this one as you earn £4 for spending £3.69.
Some people have had trouble finding it, but it is a greyed out area right at the bottom of the playing area:
You get a bunch of useful chests, gems, etc., and more space (which you’ll be thankful for later).
You can make this purchase at any time, but we recommend doing it at around level 5.
For us, this purchase took only about 5 minutes to register and move into pending on Swagbucks.
Make a $19.99 & $29.99 Purchase
Level 11 Free Money Trick
2 of the tasks are to make a $19.99 purchase and a $29.99 purchase for 2,000 and 3,000 Swagbucks respectively. Now, this would normally mean you earn nothing, you just get your money back.
But…. they seem to have screwed up on this one and if you make a purchase for $29.99/£29.99 BOTH tasks are completed, meaning you earn £20/$20 just for making a single £29.99/$29.99 purchase.
The trouble is, finding a purchase worth £29.99/$29.99. It just doesn’t seem to exist…
But wait, once you reach Level 11, you will see an area at the top centre of your board that costs over 1,000 keys to unlock. Simply click that area and poof:

As noted though, this is a mistake on their part. This means that they could potentially fix the issue. The good news is, if they do fix it and you do make the £30/$30 purchase, you will still be rewarded with 3,000SB (worth £30/$30) so it really is risk-free.
Getting to Level 5, 10, 15, 18, 20
As we say, there is no real trick other than grinding through, merging 5, and following our other tips above. Each level requires more merges and more effort but the strategy is exactly the same.
To summarise, focus on:
- Merging 5.
- Gettings stars for wildcard merges.
- Gettings keys to unlock new areas.
- Make use of the energy shop.
- Use coins to purchase energy, food, and stars.
- Use the Facebook codes.
And a summary of what to ignore:
- Any main-map events or quests.
- The strange spinning loops game.
Later levels will feel punishing but if you persevere you will be able to scoop up the max earnings for the Mergeland Alice’s Adventure offerwall offer.
